Planning 2
Calcium is required for the baby’s bones and teeth formation. Try to take more of milk and milk products.
Pains
The growing fetus results in the shifting of centre of gravity. This may cause back pain. The blood vessels supplying the legs get pressed by the growing uterus. So there may be in pain in the legs and the feet. Fragrances and aromas could be offensive and may cause headache.
Breasts
The breasts become full only after pregnancy. There may be color changes. There is increased blood flow to this area and there may be severe pain by mere touch. Small knots start forming around the nipples. These are common issues and should not cause any worry.
Breathlessness
There will be breathless because the growing uterus presses the stomach upwards. The lungs are unable to expand fully. You may be unable to breath in sufficient oxygen. This results in breathlessness. This is also common during pregnancy.
Giddiness : There will be frequent episodes of giddiness due to lowering of blood pressure. There may be fatigue or malaise or nausea. Try to eat without starving.

Planning of pregnancy 1
Advice: This is important for every female who becomes pregnant. Do not listen to the old fashioned stories but try to find out what tests you should do before pregnancy and when you are likely to become pregnant. You should also know about safety precautions.
Discontinuation of menstruation: This is an indication of pregnancy. This can also happen as a side effect of intake of certain medicines. You should wait till the next period to see if you are really pregnant and have it confirmed. Food: The baby will be healthy only if the mother takes proper healthy food.
Craving for certain foods: During pregnancy it is normal to feel a craving for certain types of food. This is because of hormonal changes. There is increased desire for unusual things like, ash, coal and mud. The first few months you may not eat it due to morning sickness. You should know that these are harmful to the body and so learn to avoid it.
Anemia
During pregnancy, the baby derives its oxygen and other nutrients from the mother’s blood. So there is an increased need for blood production in the mother. Foods like fruits and greens will not only be nutritious but also help to increase blood formation. If sufficient nutrients are not provided there will be less production of blood and anemia. This is dangerous to both the mother and baby. Try to have iron and folic acid supplements.

TEST TO DEVELOPMENT OF THE TEST TUBE BABY
CHECKING THE ELIGIBLITY OF THE COUPLES
Before starting treatment, important investigations like sperm count, testing the hormone levels are done at different stages to confirm the possibility of successful conception in case of this treatment. The depth of the uterus is to be tested, because it is to be strong enough to sustain the pressure of pregnancy and whether it would aid the growth of the implanted Zygote. Some women may require tablets to facilitate ovulation. In addition how much this treatment would help the woman is also ascertained before giving tablets.
Inducing the production of Ova
Sometimes the fertilized ovum or the zygote fails to grow into a fetus. Instead, it gets degenerated. The main reason for this is the insufficient maturity of the ovum. It may possible to isolate one ovum for fertilization by sperm in a test tube. But it is impossible to predict whether it would grow into a baby within the womb. To prevent such a loss, doctors induce the production of many such mature ova by the ovaries by giving hormone tablets. For this, hormone treatment is given after studying the woman’s body nature; ovulation time etc, beginning a few days after the menstrual cycle. The pituitary gland may be temporarily commanded not to secrete the hormones meant for inducing the release of the ovum. This method is adopted to get more number of ova. Instead of tablets progesterone is administered to obtain mature ova.
Estimating the development OF THE egg
The time of ovulation should be accurately estimated and ova collected at that time. Otherwise it may not be possible to effect conception. Hormone testing is done repeatedly to confirm the time of ovulation. To collect mature ova, doctors employ four methods they are
Hormone testing
Ultrasound
Injection
Normal menstrual cycle

EXERCISES TO REDUCE PAIN
Before you begin the exercises, you should be fully aware of the state of the muscles. Whichever state it is, whether tight or flabby, you should have the capacity to control it.
If you are able to identify the different types of the muscles, tightening them or relaxing them will not be problem.
Tremendous practice is needed to relax your whole body with every muscle tightening or contraction. You should practice doing this continuously during the last stages of pregnancy; only then will you be able to completely relax yourself during delivery,. This permits the uterine muscles to contract efficiently without any hassles and with less pain.
If you know to breathe in the correct way, the baby is likely to be easily pushed out. So concentrate on breathing exercises.
Complete breath refers to full expansion of the lung causing the diaphragm to descend to the maximum. When you are in a relaxed state, do this to have full supply of oxygen.
I. Breathe in as much as possible at one time.
II. Breath out fast forcefully with a hissing there is a feeling of heaviness sound or very slowly so as to relax the whole body.
III. Continue breathing with rhythm.
IV. Relax yourself completely. Immediately there is a feeling of heaviness and you will find it difficult to do any work.
V. Step by step, bend your elbow and bring it close to your face. Slowly take it back to its original position. You will find that the movement is slow and restrained.

DIET AND IT’S IMPORTANT WHEN PREGNANT
Very strict dieting is likely to result in very small and overweight babies. The baby will have reduced resistance in addition to having nutrition deficiencies. If your body weight is too much there are not much chances of losing weight after delivery. Try eating low calorie foods and do mild exercises like walking and swimming. But see to it that you don’t lose out on the essential nutrients during pregnancy. Consult dietician for advice.
I have a craving for sweets and milk products. my friend is advising me to avoid them and get used to eating some other foods. What other kind of foods should I take?
Milk, milk products and sweets have a lot of fat in them. So there is a possibility of putting on weight. Low calorie food and low fat food like vegetables and fruits should be your choice.
Your body weight should not increase by more than 10 and 12 kg than your normal weight during pregnancy. Both overweight and underweight could be risky. If the body weight does not increase beyond a point or becomes less, there are chances of premature delivery or still birth. When the weight is more, the baby would have toxemia apart from other complications; the baby is likely to suffer from problems associated with overweight at a later date. Take medical advice to maintain your weight and take a well balanced diet.
